Man
of La Mancha (produced by Phoenix
Entertainment) opened in October 2006 and
will tour North American markets through
the summer of 2007. This imaginative
re-telling of the Cervantes story follows
the mis-adventures of Quixote and Sancho
as they go forth in search of their “quest.”
With stunning visual imagery (by Michael
Hotopp), we are transported into a 16th century
dungeon where Cervantes is bound to plead
his case before his fellow prisoners. A
chamber-based orchestral arrangement completes
this intimate,and yet expansive production. |
