Buddy:
The Buddy Holly Story, was the second
production under the Phoenix name and toured
the U.S. and Canada during the 2001-2002
season. Buddy featured sets
by Andy Walmsley (American Idol, Who Want’s
to Be a Millionaire), and began it’s
tour in Anchorage, Alaska before heading
out to the remainder of the U.S. Re-told
onstage through a talented cast of actor/musicians,
the production concludes in a 20-minute
restaging of his final concert at the Surf
Ballroom in Clearlake, Iowa. With amazing
energy, this production electrified audiences
across the country and this production was
a rockin’ romp
re-telling the story of Buddy Holly and his
rise to fame.
