Mike Bauder, Production Manager
Formed in the fall of 2005, MB Productions was the creation of Production Manager, Mike Bauder, after a long and successful relationship with Phoenix Entertainment as their in-house Production Manager.
Born of an Air Force father and German mother, Mike was raised across U.S. and Europe before finally coming to rest in the sleepy town of Vassar, MI (population 2432). Having the exotic lifestyle of a traveling gypsy thrust upon him in his early youth, Mike never quite became accustomed to actually unpacking any of his suitcases.
After graduating high-school and deciding that working full-time as a bag-boy at the local supermarket was not in his cards, he moved to Chicago where he attended the Production Management Program at DePaul University. In the spring of 1991, Mike transplanted himself to the east coast to work as a production electrician in the New York area and for a variety of national tours.
Serving as Production Electrician to Don Holder (Disney's Lion King, Thoroughly Modern Millie) on Barry Manilow's Copacabana and also to Mike Baldassari (Cabaret) on Phantom, Mike formed lasting bonds with many in the business and began developing the relationships that his business is based on through this very day.
Joining Phoenix at it's inception in 2001, Mike would eventually become their full-time Production Manager in 2002 and continue with them through the formation of his own company. In the fall of 2005, Mike created MB Productions and, in addition to his continuing relationship with Phoenix, has formed additional ties with Rogar Studios, ThemeSTAR Ltd. (a producer of global family entertainment), Nick Jr. (a subsidiary of Nickelodeon TV), and Live Nation (formerly Clear Channel Entertainment).
Managing projects domestically and abroad, through his career he has managed productions in all fifty-states, most of Canada, and in Europe and Asia. With future ventures abroad, 2009 promises to be another year of keeping the suitcases packed, and he wouldn't want it any other way.
Sonya Duveneck, Associate Production Manager
Recently returning to Frederick after living in the Big Sky Country of Montana for the past two years, Sonya joined MB Productions as a Production Associate in September of 2008. A graduate from Hood College (Class of 2003), she soon after began working as an administrator for a private school for children with learning disabilities. She has now decided to re-enter the world of theatre and production . . . a place that is familiar to her as she was raised in a theatrical setting in the Northeast. Among many other things, Sonya enjoys collecting elephant paraphernalia and all things John Deere.
